    Photo Etch producer??

I have seen that kit... on the picture only. Does anybody have any experience with that? I mean... I will not buy it anyway, but I am curious. I have my own methods already but would like to hear some opinions if there are any.

    Photo Etch producer??

Hello John, I also saw your email. Thanks. I do no think you can do such thing technically. Even if you get the sheet scanned, you will loose the details, sharp lines. To make good quality film you need good drawing ideally in vector format, especially if you plan to enlarge the pattern. In...

    HMS Alert 1777

"butapren" is old Polish name for rubbery glue. It is very good stuff, but has disadvantage of being yellow/brown sort of. In Austria I have found something similar called UHU Kraft Alleskleber. There two types and one of them is such rubbery one. Other one gel type is transparent. In the...

    HMS Alert 1777

I would have stayed with more yellowish colour as it was printed. The picture... well is a bit too red on the cover but that could be the problem of the picture itself, they never give you readl colours. Real decks were between yellowish towards grey even - but light - because of sanding...

    1/96 scale Shipyard model "Nina"

Among many card builders I have seen that they fill the hull's frames with building foam to have better strength, than the excess is cut of and whole hull nicely sanded. It is just an idea ;) Look inside that post for pictures...

    1/96 scale Shipyard model "Nina"

I will ask him tonight over mail. In the meanwhile I will place the link to Polish forum where he, Slawek, was running his building report of those 2 models. Santa Maria and Nina on Polish Koga Forum I briefly scanned the log, and sails are already there... I will ask him perhaps he has some...
