SR2 Normandy Design and Build - continued

Funny you should ask. It's kind of been stalled for a long time since no one volunteered to do a test build, and life is a pain, but just last week someone contacted me about doing a test build. I have sent him the files and we are going to work together at getting the pattern tested and ready...

Battlestar Atlantia Wall Plaque (by Klaus Schaeftner)

Ummm. WOW! Hadn't seen this till now. Fantastic work RF! If only I had time to build everything :(

SR2 Normandy Design and Build - continued

So there you have it. I have lots of pics from along the way but I don't have the energy to sort through them and organize them. The model pattern is now sitting at 24 pages and about 480 parts. I found it to be a pretty satisfying build, but there's always room for improvement. I probably...

SR2 Normandy Design and Build - continued

At long last the first full test build of this model is complete. Yes. Done! Finished! I have reworked many parts based on the building, and reworked a lot of the layout. I'm still working on the layout and adding fold lines etc. but I'd say it's somewhere around 60% finished. I'm taking a bit...

    Can we fix notifications?

Thanks Raven. I'm aware of the ability to turn these features on and off, but the problem is that it's an all or nothing, on or off feature. I brought this up back in March and disabled the most active forums back then. Now I'm disabling the rest. Steve

    Can we fix notifications?

Mods, Forgive me if I sound frustrated, but I am. Today there have been something like 20 emails sent to me about new threads in the aircraft forum. These are all from a single person posting single images of a single model. Nice enough, but really, we don't need that many threads just to see...

    At last Orion by UHU02

Wow! This is going to be awesome. Gary Pilsworth's Orion was one of the first paper models I ever made. I think every sci-fi fan loves this space plane. I'm looking forward to adding this to my never ending list. Maybe I'll even get around to building it some day. :)

    1911 Colt Automatic

Yeah, with the new system sending so many notifications all the time I've turned them all off, so now I only pop in at random to see if anything catches my eye. I'll be watching for your update.

    1911 Colt Automatic

This is looking fantastic Silveroxide. This one is on my list to build someday. Actually all of his weapons are on my list. I look forward to seeing more of this build. Steve

Rolex watch w/ Rolex box under constuction

FANTASTIC project Craftman. A very impressive design and build, and like Ron, I too love seeing unusual subjects like this. You've provided an outstanding example of what can be done with papercraft when you set your mind to it. Very impressive. Thanks for sharing this wonderful project. Steve

    Free Card model PBY-6A 1:72

Hey Bob, another great model in your collection. Unfortunately the links take you to a webhosting advertising rather than a download. I actually got looking at your improved DC-3 version and noticed it there first, then tried the Catalina as well - same result. Thought you'd like to know.

    LEGO Luke X-Wing Pilot!

Hi Davestar. just peeked in here for the first time. This is a great thread on a great subject. I echo Uyraell comment - informative, enjoyable and funny (and fun). I don't know if it's mentioned in Revell-Fans thread on metallic stock, but one technique worth mentioning is testing the back of...

SR2 Normandy Design and Build - continued

I have gotten some more work done on the pattern layout and my test build. Life and work are still very busy for me (and the world is full of shiny things) so it's not often I get the right combination of time and energy to work on this. I'm at a stage where the layout work takes a lot of focus...

    LET L-200 Morava 1:33

Very nice looking model. It never ceases to amaze me how many different aircraft designs there are out there. This one is rather unique. I can't recall ever seeing one quite like it. I look forward to seeing the textured version. Steve

    Metasequoia Plugin converting

The SDK does not contain plugins that you can add to Metasequoia (except maybe some examples), it is the tool that you use to create plugins of your own. It is used in conjunction with Visual Studio 2008. In Visual Studio you start a new "DLL" project, add the Metasequoia controls or whatever...

    Can we change notification settings?

I know it's only been a few days, and I'm just asking, but have you had any feedback on this? You're adding some great stuff to the Resource section today, but also to my inbox. I've "unwatched" most of the forums I usually watch because of this "feature". Unfortunately that means I no longer...

    Can we change notification settings?

I'm aware of that, but these oprions only allow me to turn alerts on or off, not adjust when or how frequently I get the alerts, so that doesn't answer my question. Is there a way to do that?
