    1:16 Space Shuttle flight deck

Yes, you're right my friends. I didn't forget my promise and, even if you couldn't see, during last weeks I worked hard to put together a buildable version of my project. I already have redone all the layout of the pages to keep them printable on A4 as well as Letter size (as some wise friend...

    1:16 Space Shuttle flight deck

Yes, drawing an entire 3d simulation of the whole building process (Perdana style just to explain) is absolutely out of question. Fortunately I have a lot of photos of my build so the most complex thing will be to assign separate numbers to every part and place references to that numbers in the...

    1:16 Space Shuttle flight deck

Hi Wedge, excuse me for my very late answer... you all know me by now... "fast" is not my favourite word. Coming to your question: My shuttle scale is about 1:16 so it's far more detailed than necessary for your purposes but, re-scaling the file and leaving out some of the finest details, I...

    Der Glaskasten

Hi friends, sorry to be so late. Just a line to assure you I'm still alive. I understand that, maybe, you wasn't worrying about this but, if anyone would like to know, I'm still working on Glaskasten, very slowly, but the project is not abandoned. My life, my family, my work, they all took many...

Sorry I can't be more with you

    1/16 Space Shuttle Flight Deck

This was my first option of course. You didn't see me a lot here around recently but Zealot is always the first place I think of in my modeller heart.

    1/16 Space Shuttle Flight Deck

Hi guys! I just noticed here you was talking about my Shuttle Flight Deck. Sorry for not having replied before. Yes, my plan was to share the model after having completed it. I originally wanted to realize internal and external details but, after having completed the interior I turned on another...

    Star Wars Y-wing /my design/ 1:48

As I see we all have the same problems with the "work in progress" list rules... We elaborate our own list of excuses to jump from one build to another and the unfinished models collection grows. I am seriously worring about my chances to live enough to complete all my unfinished ones...

    Der Glaskasten

You know how great is the satisfaction when a cardmodeler meets a plastic modeler and hear him sayin' "THAT one is made of paper? Naaaaa!" ;)

    Der Glaskasten

Yes, I thought to this solution too but eventually opted for the punched plasticard because many of the rivets I need are so small that I wouldn't be able to find a suitable pin and, after all, the amount of work requested is not so different. Another thing to consider is that many of the walls...

    Der Glaskasten

... and now let's take a look to the cylinders. I first realized a custom piece to keep parallel the side walls. with my usual "micro-tabs" technique I make easier the placement of the curved surface. The cylinders are taking shape... When the original model provide a flat 2D piece I...

    Der Glaskasten

Hi friends, sorry for not being here more. But I don't forget to post my little progresses in this "more-complex-than-I-expected" build... Here is the solution to the rivet dilemma: I choose to adopt different solutions depending on rivet/bolt dimensions. For the standard rivets I decided to...

    Der Glaskasten

A little update... the work proceeds slowly as I have little time for modelling... I'm starting to enjoy making bolts. Here I put little circles in the center of the bigger ones (this is the cylinder mounting plate) to simulate the screws. This is one of the suspension attachements A nice...

    UGEARS locomotive

Sorry, my fault. When, after the BIG TRANSFER, all the photo disappeared, I restored my old threads but forgot this one. Now I replaced all the photo regarding my wooden loco build (fortunately I never throw away anything) :) Aother little Zealot piece is restored....

I absolutely agree. How can you not fall in love with such a beauty?

    Der Glaskasten

The scale is 1:30 so, as the real loco is 7 metres long the model will be approximately 23 cm. Hummmm.... you should give me the address of your doctor. I want the same thing he gives to you... ;) I'm so happy to be again with you my friends!

    Der Glaskasten

To simulate little rivets I used a syringe needle pressed onto the surface This is one of the revisited axle supports. I decided to realize all the bolts from cardboard using my invaluable punch'n die tool from RP Toolz. This way I can fix the bolts using PVA glue. The final result is...

    Der Glaskasten

Hi friends. I'm back with a new build thread on a railway subject. This time with a very nice little locomotive I fell in love at first sight. I think all of you have a drawer full of cardmodels you bought impulsively somewhere and put in there waiting for the inspiration to start building them...

    My old "500"

Last sunday my little 500 had her first official debut partecipating in 22nd edition of "Modellismo che passione" a contest held by CMT (centro modellistico torinese) in Turin. My model gained the silver medal in the civilian vehicles category. Not bad as a first presentation! :)

    My old "500"

Very funny, John, this is another proof of the fact our brains work exactly in the same way! :) Regarding the finish of this model you caught exactly my original intentions. Unfortunately my little 500 is lost... so I imagined how she could be if I have her with me today. I would have restored...
