    Guys I am jumping ship to a bigger guage. I have a 3 1/4" railbed to lay my ties on. For my application HO is just too small. What guage fits that criteria?

    I want to change elevation 5'. I have an unlimited amount of space off scene where I had hoped to make this happen in a 28' switchback. If I need 17, 14' switchbacks, it is gonna kind of take the fun out of it.

    Thanks for the welcome! I am in Western Washington and with the research I did last night I am probably in the market for a Climax. As I posted in my other thread I will try and get some pictures of my layout and questions this weekend.

    I am looking for a guide on engines of different eras. I am mainly looking late 19th century steam logging.

    Need a lesson on Radius

    I see there is limitations on what engines can be used with a smaller radius curves. I am going to build basically a square layout to run around the edge of a room. The tighter the radius for me the better. Am I going to really limit my options on engine and cars by going with a 15 deg curve...
