    Kato Boxes and Engines

Yup, I have one too (been a dream for soooo long, now it's a reality...YAY). I didn't even have to glue the bell on! FYI, it goes between the deckplate piece and the main body. You have to take the entire shell off, then use pliers to fit it into place while holding the deckplate up a bit.

Whoa, that thing is beautiful. Sorry, I actually know nothing about this loco, but I just had to comment on its beauty...plus, it's Union Pacific. WIN!

    Wireing question for a DPDT.

And if you read MY post carefully, the only time I mentioned 2 DPDT switches was in switching my DCC command station from running to programming without having to undo wires.

    Good idea. Thanks!

    Wireing question for a DPDT.

I would run one DC transformer and the DCC system through one DPDT switch, then, for 2-CAB operation on DC power, I would use an Atlas Controller or two. I would just leave the Controller on the "A" CAB selection when using DCC regardless of where trains were on the layout and would use the...

    DCC unit

For older Athearns, go for the DH123AT. It's a simple replacement decoder that you don't even have to do any soldering on (unless you have one of the old Athearn DD40/DD35s). For newer ones with the 8-pin socket, any decoder with an 8-pin plug on it and that is small enough to fit into the...

North American RR's coming back big time

Whut? Totally random post quite possibly in the wrong thread. And yeah, I noticed that. I think UP put in an order for MORE SD90MAC-H's! THE 6000HP ONES!...that's just insane. I can't remember how many, but also it's just a rumor, so w/e.

Some recent weathering jobs I've done

I see no weathering on the first one, just a total repaint. But it's a nice job either way; the other two are just plain beautiful (well ok, maybe not exactly...beautiful...but...er...ah...YOU GET MY POINT sign1).

Mars light on P2K E7A with Locksound

The purple wire is part of the sound wiring. Mars lights are doable via programming. Just look up LokSound's CVAR list online (if they have one).
