    Well I finished the Roadbed today. Only the Mainline and spur to the train station have roadbed. The rest of the track is staging and as result is lower in elevation. Next I will be soldering and cutting track, If you are following along on my Website I will post lots of photos of the steps...

    SD90 What are you using there? I like the look and doing ballast to scale is crazy talk, I would rather look at it and tell it's ballest.

    Are you laying down on the door, or a layer of foam first, It you are straight on the door, thats going to act like a big Guitar when the train runs over it, the foam will help with the sound. I would go in this order. Best Road bed, foam, plywood. road bed, foam, door Foam, door Foam road bed...
