    Pump 'em up!!

Thanks for the quick answers to my question. I appreciate your time. Takes quite a long time to charge the train and make the inspections. Now I can understand why I saw train lines at some of the rail yards I've visited in the past. Might explain why many mine run engines carried 2...

    Pump 'em up!!

I have a question about operations. I've seen comments about operating more realistically by allowing the time for a brakeman to throw turnouts and move from the front to the back of an engine or train and hooking up air hoses, etc. I would like to know a little more about the time required...

    LNE box car question

The L&NE used boxcars for cement service. Originally they were boxcar red and changed to the black with white sill stripe scheme about 1957 or so. The covered hoppers were used for bulk cement service and the boxcars usually hauled it in bags like you get at Home Depot, etc. I'm not sure if they...

Need MFG ID for 2024 4-8-0 Steamer, says JAPAN?

Ted, Looks like a B&O B-24 class. Also......it's a 4-6-0 and not a 4-8-0! I know Sunset imported the B-24 but I don't think the one you have is a Sunset as it looks like an older technology engine. Do you have the tender for it? Roger

Does anyone know what the capacity of the new wooden tower is supposed to be? How about the other Walthers coal towers? I have one of the round concrete ones and it just seems too small but the larger concrete one seems too big. The wooden one seems to be just about right for what I need...

    Bachmann Spectrum 2-8-2?

The engine was produced by Bachmann a couple years ago in short quantities. It is going to be re-run this year or early next year sometime due to its popularity. The model was awesome! It has a ton of details and runs extremely smoothly. The first run sold in the $200 range but could be found at...

    Train Master at speed

Great shot! I love the mighty T-M's. I don't think any other paint scheme looked as nice on them as the Demo colors. I'm kind of fond of them in Virginian paint too as the only real T-M's I ever saw or rode in were on the Vgn. What an engine!! Roger
