    O scale cars

Hey everyone, my layout is taking place in the early 1930's and I cannot find o scale cars from the 20's and early 30's to put on it. In pictures of o scale layouts and dioramas I always see model t's, but i can't find the company that sells them. Anybody have any ideas?

    Scratch Loco

nkp174, I like your idea, seems simple enough, but I will probably need to get some practice with it. Also, good luck with the On3 2-8-0, hope it turns out great!

    Scratch Loco

All of your projects are very good! Ray I was very impressed with your engines, considering that one is supposed to be lionel, I am guessing that you work in O gauge like me. How did you do the rivets on your engines? What tools do you use when building your engines? Care to share any tips, you...

    Scratch Loco

Nachoman, your loco is coming along great! I don't think that I would be able to use brass, I just don't have the tools and machines for metal.

    Scratch Loco

Has anyone ever tried to scratchbuild a loco? What did you build it out of? It seems like a big undertaking, but it would be really fun and neat if you could do it. Any thoughts, or tips?

    Field Grass

I have been having trouble placing woodland scenics field grasses on my o gauge layout. It just falls over with every glue I try:curse:. I guess it takes to long for the glue to dry to hold it up, or maybe the glue just isn't tacky enough. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Wow! unexpected

Hey everyone, I haven't been to the gauge in quite a few months, what a difference. I am not sure why the change took place, but I miss the old gauge, no offense to anyone. It just takes longer to navigate, and doesn't look as good. I expect that there will be benefits however, because I think...

I guess the area I live in isn't actually "rural", at least not anymore, but I wouldn't call it a busy suburb.

    Windows

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I will try anyway.:) I have started making structures from card stock and cereal bord etc. I use graphics printed from the computer. I think that they look good except the windows. Do you know how I can make more realistic, recessed...

    Scenery

Im not sure if this is the right forum to put this in, let me know if it isnt. As a model railroader with a budget I have begun to look into making my own ground coverings, I have made ballast for some sidings of my railroad with dirt and some ash, and I have sifted some dirt to replace soil...
