This SD70MAC began as an undecorated Kato model. I had seen pictures of one on Kato's website and decided to give it a try. I had liked that locomotive so much that i wanted to have one just like it. Props to the artist who made the original, i do not remember the fellow's name, and i tried...

Thanks. for these ive sprayed them with a very light mix of dirt and water and used a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to run it downwards after theyve dried. Well on the first two anyways. The BNSF has not had the cotton swab treatment (yet?)

I saw the ad at a hobby shop here in san antonio. so far they are only announced for N scale. I do agree, Kato's detailing is not the best. I will reserve the units as soon as they are available. I cant wait for the BNSF and the Ferromex units (if they even make those :( )

i guess most think that i should just start off on HO but keep the N just in case. Sounds like a winner to me. I will probably begin thinning my N Scale stuff and use the materials on whatever HO locos i end up with.

you could try exchanging the couplers, but ive never had good luck keeping them from "hanging." one of the things you could do is replace the trucks with the Atlas trucks that are sold in pairs. Now, they dont have MTs. They use Accumates. But ive never had any problems with unwanted...
