    Help with Riva AC-11 resto?

Yup, it's a whistle. I'm missing the one on my AC-11 also. I see you're also missing the stack splitter (a smoke deflector) from above the stacks, and a cover (feedwater heater?) just behind the stacks. Also both the pumps from the smokebox front. Good luck with your restoration. Gotta love...

    Large Turntables???

I vaguely remember reading an article like that a few years ago. Unfortunately, I can't remember where (par for the course). On page 1 of this thread, Russ was talking about the same general idea. Also, no harm in taking pride in your Y6b.:thumb: I had one myself back in the seventies, and an...

There's even a photo of a UP Challenger in my MR Steam Locomotive Cyclopedia, with what the photo refers to as "metal chuck blocks" placed under the third from the rear set of wheels from the back of the tender, holding the rear of it high enough to be turned on a 'table that appears to...

    Large Turntables???

OK, I understand. Sorry Russ. I wasn't sure about the 2-8-8-2 fitting, because I haven't had one since the mid seventies, and my memories of the length are somewhat fuzzy. I do remember that one of my many Rivarossi locos had a special gizmo that allowed either the lead truck wheels, or the...

    Large Turntables???

No disrespect intended, but that seems fairly obvious. LOL. Heck, a Big Boy will fit on a 14" turntable without the tender.:D Jeff

    Large Turntables???

My memory may be faulty, but I'm not sure that a 2-8-8-2 (Riv or Proto Heritage) will fit on a 14" table. Anyone know for sure??:D Jeff
