    cutting foam inclines

    I've done it... using 1" pink insulation... but I used a band saw to make the incline cut... I used a drywall saw to make the saw cut on the sides... I made the width about 2 inches... you can sand the top after you put it down and that will take out all the irregularities.... here's a shot...

    3 questions (help please)

    I had the same problem with the atlas c55 turnouts... you need to re-gauge your loco wheels... use a small flat screwdriver and pry the wheels apart just a little more... I was a little nervous about taking the screwdriver to my locos, but it's not that difficult to move the wheel on the axle.

    Faulty decoder?

    I got a new Altas Dash 8-40BW for Christmas:D but it won't go! It's got a Lenz LEO63XF decoder... I put it on my track(digitrax empire builder)... dialed up address 03... got the lights to come on but it won't budge... am I missing something, or have I got a faulty decoder?
