    Canadian national Tugboat

I've been working on a model of the CN tug that sailed Okanagan Lake here where I live. It's a Linghburg model that I 'waterlined', using a tablesaw with a fine plywood blade. I finished the cut with a belt sander. It will be going to our club layout to replace a temporary model.

    Re-laying my narrow guage track

I started re-doing some of my HOn3 trackwork. When I laid it a couple years ago I was in too much of a hurry and used the wrong kind of track. I had mixed code 70 and code 55 together. the code 70 works good, but I couldn't get the code 55 to work for me without kinking and going out of guage...

    Another Juneco Car project

I'm finishing off a Juneco CNR express reefer that I started almost 5 years ago when I was in the Hospital waiting for back surgery. It gets pretty boring in there so I had to do something to keep my mind occupied. Anyway I had finished most of the car except som small details that I remember...

    Loading dock for my sawmill

I needed a loading dock/ramp for my sawmill so I scratchbuilt one over the weekend, using basswood from the local craft store. I think the plans came from an early eighties RMC. I prestained all the lumber and assembled the frame on a jig.

I recently picked up an old Athearn U33-B engine but None were ever imported into Canada as far as I know. Could some US Diesel Guys answer a couple questions? 1) When were they first built? 2) are they considered a second generation diesel? 3) What roads did have them? (this is probably a...

    Adding interior detailing

I'm about to add small details to the interior of my sawmill and am wondering how to secure fine sawdust in place in piles around the shop floor? I don't want to use anything that will stain or blow the sawbust around when I'm trying to secure it.
