    Kato announces the NW2

    In N scale. Only in the AT&SF pre-1972 freight scheme in two numbers. If they stick to their recent RAPID announce and deliver scheme, another release should be in a few months. I sure hope this is a typical Kato smooth runner. I've got some LL SW1200's I'd like to put on a Kato frame.

    Athearn Auto-Max cars are out

    I saw one of Athearn's new Auto-Max cars (CPR) and it looks pretty nice in it's package. Did not touch though. I was tempted to buy it but luckily the $45 CDN price tag was enough to get me stop. Does anyone on this list have any of these cars? Can you give some impressions about them? Thanks...
