Well is winter again. I am back in the basement slowly completeing the land scaping. I finished the cliffs on one side of the Union staion and that hold up the passenger yards above. Ill add more pics as I add detial and move down the line.:wave:

I am almost finished with one side of Jackass Gulch. The other side will be very steep:curse: I can try the same type of rock on the finished side, just stright up and down, or perhaps a wall of sone kind. What do you think will look better, not that you will see it unless you look down the gulch.

Has any one used spansh moss on thier layout? I don't think I've ever read about it being used in MR. I gave it a try using very small pices and a hot glue gun. I am trying to make it look like bushes and small weeds.

I always thought about the old books my dad had which showed scrach builted. This is mostly cardboard so far execpt for the braces on the sides. Its HO scale I think it looks ok, I will probably need to make a bunch before they look like I want them to. I will post more pics when I finish...

I am starting to make progress. The parking lot to the Round house is 90% complete. :rolleyes:

I just put in the paking lot behind the round house. I used white foam board. I bent it here and there for to make cracks and since it is used stuff from work the surface is pealed in many places, makes nise pot holes. I sprayed it Dark gray, but it looked like a epoxy painted basment floor...

I did it I tore up all the bench work I just finished and started over. This time it around the room not one Big table! It gives me more open area and longer runs. :cry:

I am using Atlas code 83 track. Atlas does not make a 3 way turnout. Does anyone know who makes one (good one)? :confused:

Thats it! I diden't get the layout finished and I am starting over. I was in to much of a hurry so I will redesign the whole thing over. I thought I would make on big table in the middle of the basement, but now I see, around the walls is the only way to go. I am keeping the yard I had on the...

I paused work on the layout and started this kit. I need to have something that actually gets finished. :curse: I used 400 grit emery paper on the roof. It look good, but you can' see it in this picture. As I complete more ill attach more pic's :wave:

Can anyone tell me how to install a NEC D13SR in a Bachmann F40PH? The engine has what I assume is an 8 pin DCC plug, but no diagram explaing what each pin is connected to. Bachmann is not answering my question. :curse:

I took this picture of an NJT train putting down ballast. Are theses speical hoppers? If you zoom in you can the shoots on the side.

If you go with the CTI system the computer can't be to old. The computer must have two free com. ports. I used an old 486 with a serial mouse. But, evean though I added an extra Serial port card there were conflicts with the mouse. DOS can only acess ttwo com ports at one time.:cry:
