This was sitting in my friend's engine track!

I don't if it's still there but... ...there was a full fledged Turbo Train parked at NAPARANO's scrap yard near Newark, NJ just a few years ago. I'm sure I have a few shots somewhere. Naparano's is the choice for RR relics to be scrapped- not too far from the Kearny Shops. One of my favorite...

Probably one of my last posts... ... Mark

    I too must resign...

...myself to doing something. Anything. But, bah- I'm too busy. Maybe next year?! Oh wait- that's when... Anyone else here read Ayn Rand's "ATLAS SHRUGGED"? There's trains in the book but, alas, no pictures. Too bad. Mark:mrgreen:

    Toy Train Recall

Ah, so... (NOT A KARATE CHOP coming there folks!) ehehee. That was terribly un-PC of me. I flog myself. ...that's where my hard earned dollars are being spent? Gee- I wonder how many tons of trees were used to send that important information out while lawyers figure out how much more they...

Rooming House - First attempt at weathering

Really nice... ...looking building. The wife just looked over my shoulder and said so as I was admiring it. Thanks, Mark P.S. I would add a little wear to the hand rails to make the stair case look used as well as the treads and walkways down the center. That's quite a climb and I'm...

    Smallest Yard?

    LED Christmas lights...

Dude, you're... ...freaking me out. Usually I just lay on the bed and stare at the bare light bulb in the ceiling socket. Anonymous:mrgreen: Otherwise, I like it!:thumb: Mark

    High Speed on the NEC

I loved standing... ...on the platform in Levittown (PA), just south of Trenton. The GG-1s and Metroliners would be back up to speed, blasting by where I'd get a bit tizzy and grab for a light pole to hang onto. Once in a while a train would be on the platform track. You'd have thought they'd...

    What happen to The Gauge?

"Progress"! That's what my dad would have said as he tossed another wadded up ball of paper at the office trash bucket. I didn't see a baby go out with the bath water so baby is still safe. Did I mention a recent N scale U30C purchase? Anonomously Mark:wave:

    Digital Navy - USS Arizona - 1/100

I'm inclined to think if I were to open a hatch and run in- I could trip over the lip of the hatchway, skin my shin and get a nice bruise on my knee.

    N scale radius versus HO

Being the brilliant designer... ...that I am, and a downright humble fellow too, I try to keep any tight radii to the rear of the layout and the more gentle ones out front. It's gotta go somewhere so if I squeeze all the tracks towards the rear where ain't no matter- then there's space out...

    Signal Review

Fortunately... ...for me- the READING had these (G-Type) along the rails thru Manayunk- my target RR. Thanks for taking a look at different signal systems and showing them here. Mark

    time tables

The schedule is dictated by... ...the job. You already have the job assigments worked out as you stated for frieght trains and moving commodities from the yard-to the yard, etc. Now you want to add "variables" but said variables actually have to maintain a schedule because they have a job that...

    Database program for Model equipment

I believe in the... ...if it ain't on the RR it's because it did something it shouldn't have. A computer listing of things like "repairs needed"? It's a "hobby" not a job- just doing the data input is too way outta control (for me), micro-managing fun to the degree of being very something...Now...
