The HO Piermont Western Railway circa 1915

I plan to build a small freelance HO railroad that will depict the Erie Railroad's Piermont branch (in essence). The time frame is 1910 to 1919 (with some exceptions). As you may know, I model the Erie RR circa 1952 in N scale but I thought this would be fun as well. My plans are to build all of...

    New York Ontario & Western's Mountaineer Limited 4-8-2 #405

Here is the Mountaineer Limited in HO. I have painted it for a customer and friend of mine. It is not quite done yet, but just about. It still needs the pinstripping on the drivers, window glazing, crew, coal in the tender and the wheel tires need to be cleaned.

Gary's New York Central electric (p-2)

Been working on 2 of these locos for Gary and they are moving along kind of slowly as the decaling is quite tricky. Gary had decals custom made. After 2 of these P-2's I have a T-3 to do.

Nickel Plate Products Erie K-1 Pacific

I'm doing this Erie K-1 for Lackawanna Jim. It's getting done as it appeared in the 1950's. At that time the loco shops knew that these steamers' days were numbered. They really began to take great care of them. The walkway edges were painted aluminum, the window frames were pained red and the...

Nyack Dairy milk car in service.

Here is the Borden's style milk car that I scratchbuilt in N scale. I was attempting to make a Borden's milk tank car but made a couple of mistakes that were not easily fixed (such as the sharp corners). I decided to start over but also figured that this would make a good "what if" model. Nyack...

    Scratchbuilt Borden's butterdish milk car.

I started to build a Borden's butterdish milk car in N scale but ran into a couple of dimension problems. Realizing that It would be easier to start over again I took what I had and made it into a freelance car for my own road the Piermont Dock Railway. I put on a round top door with a porthole...

    2 more custom painted items.

Finished up a couple more this weekend. First is that very old 0-6-0T that I had on here in an undecorated state. It has been painted, decaled, window glazing installed and headlight lenses made. It will be going up on Ebay Sunday night, hopefully it will go crazy.

Gary's Erie Berkshire is well under way.

Gary recently aquired a Fujiama brass Erie Berkshire. Great loco, had an old Pitman DC-71 open frame motor in it. I made a new bracket and mounted a Canon can motor. Runs like a champ now. She is all set for cleaning and painting (just hope I can remember where all of those dang little parts...

Cool bridge and buildings in NY state.

There is a small town in upstate New York called Hancock. It is a very small town on the Delaware river. At one time both the Erie and the New York Ontario and Western (O&W) railroads ran through town. The O&W's Scranton branch crossed the Erie overhead and then the Delaware river. Now, the Erie...
