Does anyone play Microsoft Train Simulator?

Did you upgrade from 98 to 2000 or do a fresh install? It's possible that you have not installed the correct drivers for your graphics card, if you tell me the manufacturer I can tell you where to find them. When your computer is starting check for words such as nVidia or ATI. Windows 2000 is...

    Glue for White Metal?

For my whitemetal kits I have used mostly cyanoacrylate (super glue), where I live most of the hobby shops carry a brand called ZAP which comes in three different viscosities. I use the medium stuff for pretty much everything, it does take a little longer to dry but it doesn't run everywhere...

    Making Ice

What about using your favourite water making resin (envirotex etc) to make a normal lake and then using fine grain sandpaper to rough up the surface so that it does all opaque and frosted looking. You could also try painting the surface of the lake with some kind of paint that will get rid of...

Metal Etch Primer in my eye

Does anybody know what getting a small amount of Metal Etch Primer (I'm guessing phosphoric acid) diluted 50/50 with Methylated Spirits (98% Ethanol) would do if it got in your eye? I managed to splatter some while cleaning my air brush. Yes I know I should have been wearing safety goggles but...

It runs on HO gauge track although... In my part of Australia all of the electric heavy rail/EMU's as well as most of the freight and interstate passenger traffic runs on broad gauge track of 5'6" while the trams run down the middle of the streets on standard gauge track of 4'8.5" So if I...

This is the Melbourne B2 class Light Rail Vehicle I've been working on, more commonly known as a "double tram" or "long tram". :D It's a whitemetal kit that I've glued together and it's just received its first coat of primer. The body is constructed and i put the Bowser mech in to see how it...
