All Three Howdy, thedowneaster, I too have all three you mentioned, but personally I favor the BlueLine Sound, Power, and just overall performance, in fact my blueline BigBoy will pull 28 Loaded Oar Cars up my 2% helix grade both as slow as it will run, or as fast, without any problems, and...

    No cats ON the layout...

No dogs or cats here but, Since my Anny (Welch Springer) passed away a few years ago, and being my age, I didn't feel right about getting another dog, as it would more than likely outlive the old man, and that can be a killer for mans best friend, so I got a Bird, "Joey" he's a Cockatiel, but...

    Been too embarrassed to ask

Hello all, since I got into the hobby a few years ago, I have wondered what the sand is used for on the railroads, but have been toooo embarrassed to ask, then remembering what a school teacher once said, "the only stupid question is one that goes unasked" and I've waited long enough, hoping...

    My new industrial layout

Great plan Loren, and you have obviously done a fine job on the bench work, that is probably the most important part of a layout is the solid, flat bench work, keep it up, and let us see progress as you are able. :thumb:

If you're going to choose between these 2 for asphalt roads...

I concur with Dr.Wayne, I have used contact cement for many uses in model railroading, and it is great, you can use a spray can, or liquid, if using liquid, you can spread it fairly evenly with a stiff card, ie. credit card or the like. :thumb:

Here we go! Gotta start somewhere.

I for one am impressed with your benchwork Also as far as being reluctant about putting your layout in your dining room, we have friends that have an HO gauge layout in their entire living room, and they are well off folks with a very high dollar home, and his wife thinks the layout adds charm...
