    Ooops!...glue in the turnout!!!

I accidentally squeezed too hard on a tube of CA and it shot out into the throw bar of an Atlas code 100 turnout:( :o ..... I immediately put some de-bonder into the problem area and that loosened it up somewhat, but not nearly enough. The turnout is now residing in a sink full of soapy water...

Now I have plenty of time to work on my layout...NOT BY CHOICE:mad: I'm officially out of an occupation. Only in the restaurant business can you be promoted and in the next breath laid off!! So now, inbetween e-mailing and faxing resumes and waiting for phone calls, I've been ballasting...

    True story?? Maybe!!!

Scientists at Rolls Royce built a gun specifically to launch dead chickens at the windshields of airliners and military jets, all travelling at maximum velocity. The idea was to simulate the frequent collisions with airborne fowl to test the strength of the windshields. American engineers heard...

    2-6-2 pulling power

Hi folks...I have a Bachmann 2-6-2 that has a pulling problem. Even though my rolling stock is not all weighted per NMRA standards, this engine IMO should be able to pull more than 4 cars up a 2% grade. Instead. I get a lot of wheel slippage and need to use the ole 5 finger helper engine to get...

    Backdrop "holes"

After installing a double sided backdrop to visually separate two different scenes, I'm faced with the question of how to hide or conceal the holes that rail must run through. There was an article in MR awhile back I must locate, but I was wondering how anyone here who has faced this type of...
