Here is the CSS Raleigh Confederate ironclad 1/250
Designed by CT Ertz
Here is number 11 in my series, the CSS Raleigh. This ship, one built to the Richmond class of ironclads, was painted a blue-gray color and was designed to act as a night fighter. It's goal was to confuse and startle blockading Union ships, allowing blockade runners to enter and leave the harbor. This well built ship preformed wonderfully on her first mission, allowing a number of ships to come and go, and throwing the Union's blockading force into confusion. On her way back to port she ran aground on a sand bar and could not get free. When the tide went out, the weight of the ships armor broke the ships back, ending it's career.
