Wow! I got interested in papercraft only a couple of weeks ago and found this site today! I must say that the V blaster is a dream! Really nice work! :)

Hello fans! :)

Last night I had an inspiration on how to make the gun a bit more stable. I'm altering the plans and will test the new version when I resume work on the Visitor rifle. Please be patient with this one because there are two other projects in the queue which have to be finished first. I just want you to know that I haven't abandoned this one..! :)

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen (as well as any 5th column members or supporters).
Revell-Fan has made a couple of changes and updates to this (already FANTASTIC) blaster. So I am doing another test build and am continuing this thread with showing the photos of that build and highlighting the changes that have been made.

Thank you for watching.
So please stay tuned to the "FREEDOM NETWORK" for the latest updates on this project!

Here is an update of my progress so far. I am now working with the handle assembly.
You will notice that this is quite different from the original one (from this point). The lower support arm now runs through and is anchored to the inside of the bottom of the handle.

Starting with the parts for the handle itself.

Assembling the basic frame of the handle.
IMAG5193.jpg IMAG5194.jpg IMAG5195.jpg

This part is to help anchor the lower support arm.
IMAG5196.jpg

I have put the lower support arm in place.
IMAG5197.jpg

The internal formers are in place.

The basic frame of the handle is complete.

Here are the textured grips. I made two copies of the texture grips.

This set, I laminated to 1.0mm.
IMAG5212.jpg

This set, I laminated to 0.5mm and cut the "ribs" apart (and painted the edges).
IMAG5213.jpg IMAG5214.jpg

I started gluing the 'ribs" in place.
IMAG5215.jpg

All of the 'ribs" are now attached and the grips are now finished.
IMAG5216.jpg IMAG5217.jpg IMAG5218.jpg IMAG5219.jpg

I added the rivets to the handle.
IMAG5220.jpg IMAG5221.jpg

Now on to attaching the upper receiver and the other components for it.

So please stay tuned to the "FREEDOM NETWORK" for the latest updates on this project!

The ribs detailing looks great! I could add the parts to another page for those who want to give the model the same level of detail. What do you think, folks? :)

I say do it! If a person doesn't want the ribs, they can leave them off. If they do want ribs, then they can print them without wasting ink on the "extra" pieces.

Another option might be a multi-layer PDF, however not all readers can handle these properly.

RB has just blown me away by some pretty fancy super-detailing. I have decided to put all "extras" on a new page. So you will be able to choose the simple version or use the parts for the detailed version.
