I am new to this forum, but not new to model making. From simple snap model starts to my latest try at making a lighted Enterprise-C. However, I am by no means a pro.

As for not being a "PRO", do not worry about it.
Granted, we do have some very talented model builders here. However, we have many members who are just starting out as well.
This is a forum where like minded people come together to share thoughts, ideas, informations, tips & techniques, and promote this wonderful hobby as a whole. As well as help out those who are new and starting to develop an interest

Is the Enterprise C you're building paper or plastic?
I had an plastic Enterprise B that I DIY made into a light-up version. (just did the warp nacelles & impulse engines), it looked pretty cool with the lights off
)

My Enterprise-C is plastic and is going to be built as the refit Ambassador called the "USS Avenger". I'll post some pics of my progress thus far when I take them. Drilling all those tiny windows is rather difficult.

Welcome to Zealot!! Please do post pictures of your plastic build. You're going to drill all those holes! Always start out with the smallest drill possible, much easier to shape up to size. I had to drill a .010" hole through a round stainless steel dowel .500" in diameter. Special drill press involved. I have take and shaped many solder iron tips, to get the shape I wished. Only those irons (Hellers)with variable heat. Done right, you can get incredible results. A squirt of cold water on the tip before you remove it, set at the lowest possible temperature that melts, allows for a clean departure, with no burrs.
