Take time on the engine, and especially the exhaust. I almost think bending real metal tubing is a better alternative!! ;)

Hi all
update Time, I have now completed the first part of the frame of the bike, the reason for taking so long with this that I want to get this part 100% spot on straight, When I built the V-Max the frame was a bit out and I had to do a lot small mods to the frame for it work out as I did not build carefully. The next part of the frame is going to also take a bit time to get it 100% spot on.
But for now the photos of the Bike frame.

If you cut some strips of cloth electrical tape, it would look like heat wrap on the headers! Really coming out superb!! :)

That is one beautiful collection of parts!!

I was a Yamaha Parts Manager for 2.5 years, at a dealership in Connecticut. We had a frame straightening machine. Most of the bike were so crooked from the factory, we stopped checking them. It was too time consuming, and the riders didn't seem too notice it. Yamaha was the worst, Suzuki's were nearly always dead on. I truly think it was the way they packed them. I had an XJ750 Seca as my daily rider, plus an XS1100, a huge monstrous bike. My brother in law had a Kawasaki dealership. That 6 cylinder water cool 1300 c.c. bike they made back then felt like you were sitting on half of a car. ;)

HI All

update time, I have now completed the final part of section 4, the rear wheel arm. This now completes section 1 through to 4, now it is just section 5 which is the wheels and seat and few extra parts before doing the final assembly.

Enjoy the photos.

Ever consider making an individual link chain? Even a non functioning one would be far better than what's supplied. The original at least gives the dimension. :)

Hi All

Some sad news, I was 99% complete with the model and left my study for 2 minutes and my 3 year old decided to "lets help daddy finish his model". Well it died a painful death of a 3 old year old. At this moment in time I am so distort that I am just considering letting it just be....

Anyone else will who has started will find this build to be quite a good one.

Sorry to all who were hoping for finished pictures...
