X-Files Mulder and Scully Area 51 display idea

I've got an idea for an X-Files Mulder and Scully Area 51 action figure display idea. So far I'm thinking desert background bent into a curve for a general 3D effect. Desert ground texture and I've been toying with the idea of using plastic gutter guard or metal mesh for the chain link fence. Probably wood dowel for the fence frame. Paper model signs for the fence and a free standing sign. I picked up 6 inch action figures of Mulder, Scully, and the Alien. I want to stand the Alien behind the fence so Mulder and Scully don't see him. Anyone know of a paper model "saucer" to suspend over the Alien so I can add a LED to shine down on him to illuminate the scene. I thought about the "Invaders" saucer but thought it might look better with just a generic saucer kind of like the poster that Mulder has in his office with a metal texture. Not all card stock but I almost always do my dioramas with several materials. Mostly recycled materials and card stock models. Welcome any suggestions. I'm currently finishing up on the textures for a "Ghost Rider Alley" with a back door to a "HellFire Harley" dealership, Ghost Rider graffiti, Blaze Stunt Show poster, and an altered Uncle Sam poster with a red, white, & blue bandana on his head, Harley pin on his lapel, and "I Want You on a Harley" caption. Also adding a semi-transparent fire trail behind my Ghost Rider and cycle. I may add a paper model of a dumpster, garbage can and trash.

You could design your own saucer in SketchUp ...... ;)
I haven't attempted SketchUp yet. I'm a retired graphic designer/commercial artist so I know Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat forward and backward. 3D is something I thought about but haven't got into. May attempt learning it over the winter while my wife can't put me to work outside. I'll start a build thread on Ghost Rider as soon as I get the layout of the wall and door finished and create a mock 3D in Photoshop. I'll probably start on the Area 51 textures this week. I found a paper model saucer thats close but I'm repainting it to more of a stainless steel texture. Just found a photo of the Milky Way galaxy sky that I want to use over the desert background. I might also try an "Endless Road" display of the desert that would also look COOL for Mulder, Scully, and the Alien.

Sounds like a good concept! :)
Thanks Zathros. I'll be starting a build tread for both in dioramas. I'm working on a Photoshop digital rendering now of the Ghost Rider Alley and I've almost got the design for Area 51 worked out in my head.

Just right click, "Copy Image Location", then paste that into the dialogue picture that comes up when you click the "Picture Button" (here on Zealot), I did that one the 3 pictures on that page. :)
