I like the Tau. They're my main army, I guess (usually I end up doing more collecting and building than playing), and I was excited when I found out they were finally going to update them. I haven't gotten the new Codex yet though, because from what I saw of the "update" didn't impress me very...

I may be mistaken, but I think most of these newest models are based on the new Horus Heresy books and kits from Forge World...so there's lot's of new "lost" vehicles and concepts for us to buy... wall1

Specifically, I should add that you would be able to find pilots and crew figures this way. There are always extras in the GW boxed sets and I've had a lot show up in the spare parts I've accumulated!

There are some files out there for full figures...I'm not exactly sure where off hand, and you may have to play around with scales for what you want to do. That being said, I'm not sure if you're a gamer, or just really like the models (I know we have both here) but it might be worth checking...

I've got lots of foam board lying around, so I figured I'd be doing a lot of strengthening for those containers... From all the other threads about enhancing and layering paper models, I'll probably be doing some of that too....despite how awesome they look as is though, I'm also considering...

That looks awesome! I'm behind on many many projects and haven't started building any of them yet, but hope to soon. Did you need to do much to reinforce the structure internally?

Sweet! I actually bought a copy of the X-Wing game for a friend's birthday...I'll get some of these built and take some pictures in use.

I think I'm going to need to get my old X-Wing and TIE Fighter games running again...

From looking through the comments and projects from that BoardGameGeek link I posted in your other thread, it looks like a lot of people really want to get those Storm Trooper DX-9 transports into their games....I wonder if those might be part of your master plan as well....:oops:

Thanks for the models! There's a lot of work going on over there to expand the game, but they could use a boost to their DIY ships...

Awesome! I'm hoping that some of these capital ships might work as props for Fantasy Flight's X-Wing Miniatures game. I know the scales really wouldn't be right, but just to use in a static role to give a board a bit more character.
