    Decoder Sound Samples

Am I the only one that has searched the Internet (without any luck)for sound samples of various locomotive sound decoders? I would think that if you are in business to sell sound, the least you would do is post samples. Is there anything illegal about recording our locomotives and posting...

MRC Proto 2000 PA/PB SOUND DECODER

I am hoping someone has tried one of these sound decoders and will post a review. I want to add sound to my PAs and this might be a money saver, but you get what you pay for. MRC HO 1803 Drop In: Proto 2000 PA/PB SOUND DECODER If no one can reply, I'll try one and review it for the rest of you...

    Is it possible...

Model Power has releasd a line of metal cars. They have been on the market for 3 years, I haven't seen any, but in Schenley, (population 59) it is hard to find trains. I need to get to a hobby shop to see some of this stuff.sign1 (edit) MB Klein lists a bunch of these cars under Model Power...

    Western Pennsylvania Model Railroad Museum

I had the good fortune of being able to visit the Western Pennsylvania Model Railroad Museum in Gibsonia, Pa today. I must say I didn't allow myself enough time. Anyone within 250 miles of Pittsburgh should plan on visiting, and I would recommend getting there when they open, because if you...

    Photography Game?

This is an idea I had to get some more people to participate and be able to keep a thread active for a longer time. The rules I have are fairly simple. I'll post the first picture of A PC GP30 number 2188. Now the next picture has to be: A GP30 A piece of railroad equipment with the number 2188...

    I Quit too

After 54 years in a club it is hard to quit, but I just had to do it. For the first time in all those years I have been smoke free for a month, and I don't have the urge to smoke. I have been cutting back for over a year, but had to go cold turkey to make the final cut. It hasn't bothered me a...

Could someone point me in the direction of the exit?

it seems to me The Gauge is a pretty friendly and well-intentioned place. Many posting on this thread are trying to point out this fact, and the fact we are trying to keep it that way. If this forum starts to excuse rudeness because the other forums do, then we might as well go to the...

Could someone point me in the direction of the exit?

It is my humble opinion that when someone asks a question you have the choice to answer it or to disregard it. If you have need to answer with a smart ass answer, you need to be on some other forum, otherwise just click off the thread. We know they are seeking information, that is why they are...

    Chicago area picture help

In May of 1980 I was on a whirlwind railfan trip of the Chicago area. I took a lot of photos that I can not identify the location. I am hoping that posting some of these will bring me some help on putting locations with the photos. If anyone can help I do appreciate it, and for those that can't...

Anyone Care To Share Information About Broadway Limited Quality

I have several BLI locomotives and I am quite pleased with them. I also have a y6b from Precision Craft I am very happy with. I have heard that there are some compatibility problems with adding dcc decoders to the blue line locomotives, but I don't have first hand experience with them. Charlie
