paperwarrior,
Modelcard produced one at 1:33rd scale. I had one
but sold it. I checked papermodelstore and it was not
listed there. It is #107 Grumman F3F-1 Navy Biplane.
I have not done a Google search or checked Foreign
sites. Hope this helps, Ron
Airborne82,
I have a Fly Model #70 C-130 Hercules that has a detailed
interior and a lot of movable parts such as the aft cargo
door operation and struts. I always wanted to make the model
but have never got around to it. As amatter of fact I have
two of the model kits. This has sparked my...
For gun barrels I use the small plastic stir straws you get with
coffee at say Starbucks or any coffee shop. For larger scale
I use the spray nozzle extension that you get with canned air
for cleaning dust from computers or they also come with WD 40
spray cans. The are usually red in color on...
Boats,
You have done old Dumbo Justice as well as the Fairy Swordfish. You are
an inspiration to many in the paper model Forums. You keep them coming
and I'll keep supplying them. As Larry the Cable Guy would say Git er done.
Ron P.S. Happy 70th Birthday
Congratulations Boats. If you keep this up there may be a Knighthood in this
for you. Then we would all have to call you Sir Boats. Again Congratulations
are in order. Ron
Are you planning on releasing this as a kit? I will surely order
one if made available. I like the size. It would look good hanging
from the ceiling in flight mode or possibly on beaching gear.
You are truly a master of the sea and modeling. Does anyone
have pictures of the beaching gear for the...
An enlightening build. I'm impressed with with your
technique of air brushing and the use of silkspan for
covering join areas. I'm also awaiting your next
project on the Mars. Ron
I am looking forward to this model. Being an ex Navy man
myself I lean towards the old flying boats. They are very
nostalgic. When stationed at NAS North Island I got a good
view of the PBM's that were in the bone yard awaiting scrap
out. It was a sad demise for these old boats. What scale are...
Great looking build. I'm curious as to what coloring you
use to make a plywood grain effect on the engine firewall.
I've been pondering on this to do the ammo boxes and
work tales on my B-17 project. Ron
