You can run but y'all can't hide. Took me a little bit to find you since I was looking for the pot under another section of the forum. Roy - I've been getting my e-mails to you kicked back, e-mail me any change in address so that I can correct my address book.

Chief, your schedule sounds a lot like mine did back in the late 80's and early 90's. Home long enough to get clean laundry, money, tickets, hug the wife and kids and catch the next plane. Usually checked my office when I got home to see what tickets and itenerary my secretary left on my desk...

I like the new look! It seems a lot easier to read.I spent a little time this afternoon running the trains, did a little switch job over at "Betty's Bakery" changing out a couple of reefers. Had to move a coal consist out of the way that was left on the siding leading to the bakery. If I feel...

Hey Tom, its never too early, I was 56 when it hit. I stayed home a year on severence then when I got bored I went to work at Target for pocket money. For me, unless I was willing to relocate and take a job at a lot less than I was making there wasn't much else to do. When i got hit the...

Tom - Sorry about the loss of your job. I didn't notice, or missed, any mention over on the CTT forum, only check in here every two of three days. That's the same way I ended up taking early retirement. I was 1 of 15 from our plant and of a couple hundred nationwide. Are you old enough and...

Our Homeland Security thought for today. Two Iraqi spies met in a busy restaurant after they had successfully slipped into the U.S. The first spy starts speaking in Arabic. The second spy shushes him quickly and whispers: "Don't blow our cover. You're in America now. Speak Spanish."

Just tried getting on to the CTT forum, it is slooooow. The header came up reasonably fast but then after, maybe, a minute + with nothing happening I jumped over here. Seems it just gets worse, can't handle the traffic. Ran trains a bit yesterday afternoon. Was shuttling a Lionel log car up...

Gil, try doing a search of both CTT and OGR, a few years back there was an artical on building a lift, or drop, bridge. The more I think about it I lean toward OGR.

Gil, if it was the Burlington, not the Burlington Northern, they are hard to come by. It took me close to a year to get one. In that time I only saw one other up for bid. Like you I put in a fairly high max., list - shipping = max. Luckily mine also came in with a bit of a savings.

Years ago when our daughter finally moved out on her own she asked me for one of my handguns. One of the questions she asked was "How many times do I have to shoot to stop someone?" My reply, "Till its empty." She is the least redneck looking woman around, yet she took defensive shooting...
