    Kapton tape

    Use the kapton tape to insulate the areas that Digitrax recommends in the instructions included with the decoder. Save the extra for future installations because many manufacturers don't include it. I wrap my extras around a leftover plastic tape spool.

    Most Used N-Scale Modular System?

    I'd guess that N-Trak has the largest modular N scale following in the US. Many of the other types are being built by members of NTRAK clubs. We had a convention layout in Louisville last summer with 711 modules filling 50,000 square feet. Took about 3 hours to make one trip around it.

    The yellow tape is Kapton tape. It's provided to wrap the frame areas noted in the included instructions. Don't leave it on the decoder unless the instructions say to do so.
