I bought my Wahl's clipper oil at Sally's Beauty Supply. I would think that most business of this type would carry it.

    Robin,(Matthyro) This hurts

This is sad news indeed. I have never met Robin and have only talked to him online a couple of times. Being NARA member Number 3 makes me feel as if I have known him for years. He is a great scratchbuild modeler and a true friend of model railroading. "May the peace of the almighty Lord above be...

    Tony's or Loy's

I bought my Super Empire builder form Hobbytown on the NE side of INDY. About the same price as online and if I have a problem I can go and talk to Dan face to face and get some straight answers. I like all of my LHS's each has thier own niche to fill and do it very well.

For discussion - how do you name your layout?

The CEE Line serviing the length of Indiana from Chicago to Evansville through Emporia. Thus the Chicago, Evansville and Emporia RR. Emporia is 35 miles NE of INDY. The only two businesses are the locally owned Marathon Gas station and the Ag One/ADM grain elevator.

All of my good friends are HO-scalers and they come and help me work on my N-scale layout and when they need help I am there for them. To...

There are still some blue boxes out there but they are getting very hard to find. In my NMRA Division we give a clinic at every show we have where kids can build a car/trees or a building and take it home free of charge. We call the program KITS(kids in trains) The blue boxes were perfect for...

    In Memory of Johnny Trains

I do not remember if Johnny Trains(John Niegocki) was member here or not but he died about ten months ago. He really loved trains and anyone who knew him misses him. I met up with him the first time in Deshler Ohio. He came to chase trains and take mountains of pictures of the same. He also came...

These are coal hoppers. I picked up some red oxide primer that I am going to use and then a little weathering and the good ole dullcoat to seal everthing up.

    Roundhouse 3 bay hoppers

I have 12 Roundhouse hoppers with the white metal frames. I know before I paint them they need to be very well cleaned. Do I need to prime them before painting and what color would be most appropriate for the finish.
