Oldtanker: I have the switches wired to the A/C power then to the switch then to the red and green side of the switch. I tied all the commons together but did not hook them back to the individual switch. I am think that each switch needs its own common?

1. When I put trains on the track my switches dont work, although I can have no power to the track push the switch button and the engine will run. I did tie all the grounds together???

Thanks ALL! The only thing I did not do was go back before it dried, thats probley a better practice than letting it dry then using a dential pick to remove the balles on the sides of the rail.
When you are completed with ballisting how do you get rid of the excess. I have some that adhears to the rail and some that makes high spits that cause derailments. I'm using a dental pick to go around the rails now but there has to be a better way to clean the ballist off. I used 50/50 mix of...
brakie: I was considering the layout at this site, its the last one with the round house. Only problem is I am not sure of the connections etc. I will be using atlas track vice the EZ track that comes with the set.
