    Kato Pacer Maxi-Stacks

Not the easiest on tight radius, they tend to pop the middle wheels off track.

    SD40-2W for CN fans

WOW! thanks for the warning. I certainly can't, and won't vouch for anyone I don't know, but I can add only that the website (which is www.CMLW.ca (sorry!)) refers that they are somehow linked in a partnership with Kaslo shops, but it may very well be prudent to check this out through Kaslo!!!

    SD40-2W for CN fans

Just wanted to let people know I stumbled across a company planning on making a resin shell for CN SD40-2W's. I have no affiliation with them and don't model CN but I know there are a lot of Canadian modelers on here so if you've got an interest, check them out-- www.CLMW.ca is doing them and...

    Modular clubs

On the east coast of Florida (Jax to Miami) there is an FEC one-trak group. It can be found searching Yahoo groups for FEC (Florida East Coast RR). The main portion of the group is located in northeast/east-central Florida in the Cocoa area. However, it only models Florida East Coast locations...

    Kato stack cars

Yes, I agree, I wish they'd do some different containers but from what I read Kato is a bit of a strange company and if they do, it'll be a surprise. Until then though, Kato is selling the container magnets as a part on their website, and I'm going to see how they fit in the new Deluxe NACS 53'...

    Kato stack cars

If your still looking... The Kato Maxi-IV looks GREAT and the containers are great and the magnets in them are GREAT. The only issue IMHO, they are very difficult to connect on the articulation, once they are connected I usually will go to extremes to keep them that way. Also, be very gentle...

Mike Hagarty's N scale 'Mountain Sub'

forgot, one more thing! Oops, forgot I wanted to ask you, since we last heard from you on the old layout, have you accumulated much in the way of new diesels and freight cars? It was great to watch you pick up new stuff and weather it on the old thread, and it seems a lot of new product has...

Mike Hagarty's N scale 'Mountain Sub'

Sweet! Mike, Can't wait to see what you put together, this is like the "coming attractions!" Couple questions for you: Love that your going with modules, had you considered creating interchangable areas? I have heard (and often consider for myself) of people building extra modules they can...

    New Layout Progress

Kato Maxi coupling problem Hey Nolatron: Did you ever hear from Kato re: the broken prong? I just got mine and "snap!" that tiny little center pin between the A and C unit snaps off, anyone know how this will effect operating, how Kato is addressing this, and if anyone else is having this...

    Car Weathering - Critiques Please!

Hey Herc driver! Like your work, the "Swift" car is my favorite, followed by the 1st box car in the 2nd set of photos. I guess my 2 comments are these: 1) on those cars that you used a "faded" type weathering, from what I usually see on real box cars, dark areas fade much faster and more...

Hey Herc driver, nice to hear from you! as for the GP30: Deal. When do I get em?:D I know the C40-8W's are coming though-- I e-mailed the idea to Kato, so its a done deal right?:thumb: The backdrop is a photo that I enlarged at Kinko's and cut and joined with a razor, here it is (had to...
