    My wife is generally supportive of my hobby. She is certainly happy that I'm not out spending the money or time in the bar. Also, if I carefully plan my conventions and ensure shopping is nearby the hotel I get to go to lots of neat train conventions.

    Nscale roads

    As an arternative to shelling out hard earned money on a scale rule, here's a web alternative thats free :thumb: (my favourite price) -Fiddlers Green Free Scale Rule. Once I print the ruler out I laminate it with clear packing tape.

    Favorite N Scale Manufacturer

    It is difficult to specify one favourite manufacturer. Which is my favourite really depends on what item you are talking about. As far as Engines are concerned Kato is my favourite with Atlas a close second. For rolling stock MicroTrains is my favourite but Intermaountain and LBF are closing...

    Free N and HO scale ruler

    Found this link on the net the other day and there is a Free N and HO scale ruler link near the bottom of the page. I've printed out several and they are quite accurate. To strengthen mine I've laminated them with packing tape.Free Ruler Here BTW: I have no affiliation with Fiddlers Green.

    Trainboard down for a few days?

    Trainboard has gone down for a while. Atlas forum is also down. Glad I was introduced to the gauge!! :thumb: The following is posted on their web page: "TrainBoard is going to be down for a few days. Obviously this is a bad time. We have a lot of new folks that have found a home here...

    MDCRoundhouse rolling stock?

    I really like my MDC/Roundhouse tank cars. They look great to me. Makes one wonder though if this is the end of the line for reasonably priced N scale cars with MDC/Roundhouse being sold?
