I've just spent a few days experimenting with the RIX Uncoupleing tool and the Kadee uncoupling pick ....must say I wasn't impressed either one at all ...ithe RIX one only seemed to work 1 out of 10 tries, if that and the Kadee one worked more often than that but tended to bump the cars forward...
Thanks Bob....I did check the solder connections with a magnefier...couldn't see any improper or bad connections...I removed the decoder and the loco again ran perfectly in DC.
Its weird...between the lights working and the screen on my DCC throttle showing the system was reading the decoder and...
I just hard-wired a decoder into my Bachmann Spectrum 0-6-0 dockside
saddle tank loco. Unfortunately it doesn't work. The headlight turns on
and off when I key the headlight button on my throttle, and the system
reads the type of decoder on the programming track...but thats it.
Its a digitrax...
I think we all have to understand that the original concept of the inglenook is first and foremost a shunting puzzle, meant for simple relaxing pleasure, the fact that there are actual real-life inglenooks is a fortunate "accident" that allows us to have a real justification for a sceniced...
