You record by speaking into the loudspeaker or holding a sound source next to it and push the button provided. It will save the recording even with the battery disconnected. Gene

Thanks Andrew. Looked at the site and found info that allows me to get into the tender . Have considered battery operation as well but will try to keep the battery up by charging from the track. Some very interesting projects on that web site. Gene.
