    Modifing Atlas's N4 Layout Wiring

Wow! Way cool. Will you be building a circuit board to handle this? Please make sure to take plenty of pictures of the wiring and the interior/exterior of the control box and post them so we can all see.

    gravel

Ive also used the spray on glue, mine was Elmer's brand but any spray should be fine. The one thing I tried with great success was to use petroleum jelly to cover the rails and the ties. Nothing gets through this stuff and it rubs off extremely easily. Just be careful not to get too much...

    June-July Track Planning Contest

Ok here is my entry into the RR design. I prefer small designs, as it can often take years to finish a small corner of a basement layout, I prefer to build em and run em. My layout design is based on a fictious line called the East Greensburg RR which would run from the old Pennsy mainline...

    Road spacing??

Im about to start laying some paint to help visualize where everything should be on my new layout. So about how wide should a road in small town America be providing that cars would be parked along both sides? I was thinking about 3 inches, but that seems rather wide. Also, how wide on average...

    My New Layout

Hemiadda2d, I dont think I really have that much track parallel to the front, I mean its not reasonable to completely do without it, in some spots it actually makes sense. billk, Good point. Well thats why I asked the forum to get suggestions and to point out flaws. Glad I did! I...

    My New Layout

billk, Basically its an extra track used to store loads out, or whatever.... It was not part of my original design, but thinking it through I decided it would be a pain to have to constantly switch out its parallel track to get to the diverging track. So im sure your going to ask why then...

    My New Layout

Hey everyone, Well its time for me to start over, I ripped off all the old track yesterday, and tore the layout down to the subroadbed (pink board). I have 32" x48" to work with, and I have a fascia lip around the benchwork to prevent trains from falling to the ground as the track plan I...

    Small N-scale Layout

Rory, Glad to see you building again, I miss seeing teh construction pics of your old Copper Ridge, and was sad when you had to take it down. I do have one suggestion though, add 6 more inches to make the layout 2x3.5ft. I know space is at a premium at your new pad, but just 6 more inches...
