    What University are You?

You're Duke University! With an affinity for unpronounceable Polish names and mischievous mayhem, you are quite focused on hardwood floors. If this all sounds like a bizarre combination of things to you, just blame it on the beer. Despite your ability to party and play, you have also garnered a...

GREAT PICTURES!!!!!!!"WHITE PASS & YUKON RAILWAY"

Didn't John Allen design a layout around the White Pass and Yukon?? I think it is listed near the end of the book 101 Track plans. Edit: Sorry just noticed its John Armstrong that designed that plan. Mike

    Incline...or Decline?

People who want really high trestle bridges often do this. It would help if there were a view block before it though.

    Amazing sound

I love working with the pink stuff, however I find its quite expensive- $35+ for a 4' x 8' sheet 2" thick. What thickness was the $8 variety?? Mike

    deLuxe Innovations

Athearn makes a coal porter set too. I think Modeltrainstuff.com has em on sale. Also has the Kato coalporters on sale. I have the Kato Coalporters and both the California Zephyr set and the 12-car Super Chief set from Kato. The coalporter couplers are kind of different and they can be a...

    Great N-pire Railroad

In addition, they use foam board because they are showing you that you don't need to have access to or knowledge of power tools to build a layout. Definately wouldn't recomend it though. Mike

Harbour progress on the Nova Scotia Northern

Great Progress! Only thing I see missing is some billboards advertising Keith's Beer and Chris Bros. Pepperoni! Just visited Halifax twice this summer and really enjoyed it! (friend of mine lives in Moncton NB) I thought more than once while there that it would make a wonderful setting for a...

    Newbie BLI M1

For now I'm just running the Bachman Power Pack that came with my On30 train set. I plan on upgrading to an Atlas DCC system when I begin work on my basement layout though. While my Lionel UP Veranda seems to run fine on 18" curves, I haven't even tried running my BLI engine on them... I...

    Your Favorite HO Scale Manufacturer?

For value I'd say Athearn or Atlas. If money were no object I'd say BLI. I love my BLI engine!!!!!!!!!!! BTW I also love my Lionel UP Veranda. Nothing like hearing the whine of that turbine!!! I also run On30 and I really like Bachman stuff in that scale.

    Atlas Trainmaster Comments?

I have a BLI N & W Class A 2-6-6-4 that has the QSI sound and I also have the Lionel HO Veranda that has QSI. I have yet to hear anything that comes close to the quality of both of these units.

    Newbie BLI M1

My BLI N & W Class A 2-6-6-4 came with a volume control tool. To manually adjust the volume, I simply remove the tender water fill hatch by pulling it straight up from the tender roof. Then using the tool, turn the manual volume control knob clockwise to increase volume and counterclockwise...

Model Railroad Clubs in Dayton area?

This may not be the appropriate place to ask this question so I apologize in advance if not. I was wondering if there are any clubs in the Dayton area for model railroaders. I have noticed that there are many model railroaders in the area, but I have yet to find a club. Any ideas? Mike
