    My first switchstand

Thank you, Andrew. CVR doesn't have pictures, but it looks like the place to find a lot of fun things!

    My first switchstand

Val, Who manufactures the working switchstands? Is it Alder? Utah Pacific? CVR? (What is CVR?) Once my PH&MPRy becomes solvent, the track crew will need about a dozen of them. Would be nice to have o-scale but will settle for ho-scale if that is all they make. They look great. TTFN, James

    A Fun Game

FYI: 'Print Scrn' assumes the entire screen is to be captured. If more than one window is open, and just the currently active window needs to be captured, use 'Alt+Print Scrn' and only the active window will be sent to the clipboard.

    Is it an Optical Illusion

Ron, Beautiful winter scene! :thumb: One of the hardest scenes to photograph is a scene with snow as the predominant subject. Throws the camera's meter off. Tries to make snow look like middle gray. That's why photography is more an art than a science. If it were simple, Ansel Adams wouldn't...

    Railyard Rookie--help wanted

Uh oh! Shame on you, Bill! "The best" loco made, albeit in your humble opinion, is the locomotive that suits the modeler! And, as you very well know, not all modelers like a 2-8-2. Now, I hope everyone, especially you, Bill, will understand that I am merely teasing. I have enjoyed your...

    Just found out

When I was too young to really appreciate what I was looking at, my older brother showed me some of his magazines featuring articles of John Allen's layouts. Now I get to really appreciate it all over again in Shamus's magazine articles and examples of his work here. Second time around is just...

    my first craftman kit

Jesper, That is an excellent structure! I love the paint job and weathering! Mange smuk! :thumb: Craftsman kits have come a long way since I did a couple back in the 70s. AMB (American Model Builders) has a small branchline depot that I'm working on. My Lady says it's really cute. I...
