It is quite amazing how great N scale equipment has become. Locos run well, pull well and look great!

Model Die Casting (Roundhouse) makes a bunch of them. Passenger cars, frieght cars and 2 locos (a 2-8-0 and a 2-6-0) as well as a nice wood caboose. Fine N scale also has a couple of nice pieces.

Get some Polly Scale ATSF silver and mix in some black until it looks right to you. Brush paint a little on a scrap piece and see how it looks once it's dry then make adjustments from there.

That's a pretty cool idea. Could also be a town hall or county seat building.
