    HMS Bounty, Shipyard model 1/96

I think cheap latex wood filler is fine but recommend sealing the paper with some spray sealer like Krylon art sealer or something similar....with Cleopatra there are two layers of card a white layer, and then the planking, so I used putty on the white layer and let the planking be on the...

Right!, I can't say I've stalled, it just gets bogged in small details at times that have to be worked through. Not a problem, really, just no real visable changes for the time spent...however, it will lead to some real advances when done.:thumb:

    Digital Navy - USS Arizona - 1/100

It looks like some of the places will cut for you if you need unusual sizes, even real glass likely cheaper than that... seems like some way to reduce cost. One would hate to put in a vertical post midway, but that would greatly reduce cost. 3' x 3' sixe was not too pricey. Just doesn't seem...

Eib, I was able to build a case with plexiglass and wood trim, although I ended up cutting my own trim peices in the end, but still not overly difficult and fun project of its own. (Just Home Depot plexiglass, cuts with woodshop tools) I think it looks ok, maybe not professional....

Elliott--The model hull is very strong and will not collapse no matter what, the mast would break first I think, not that an experiment will be done! I was concerned about strengh all along, so made the hull extra thick card and glue (white glue). The channels I made wood to prevent warping, and...

Thank you Elliott, agree completely, thank you Romanator this has been a fun build although I must make myself be patient and not rush things, used to airplanes that might take from days to a week maybe. Here's an update pic, although presently the starboard deadeyes have their lanyards now and...

Thank you also Rick! This has been a fun journey learning about these rigging details and some history of the Royal Navy, reading "Billy Ruffian"
