Yeah, that model already won recognition as a model of merit. Be sure to look as his youtube videos of the model, particularly the last couple - you think this model is all kinds of awesome, and then realise that he lit it as well. It's an astonishing piece of work...

this is utterly awesome. What an achievement. BTW - if anyone hasn't gone through and watched ALL of the Youtube videos slideshows of this build, particularly the later ones, then you have no real appreciation of just how good this model is. Hat's off to you Berszu, I am truly in awe.

I can clearly see them on the plans you've posted, so I get why you've modelled them, but why on earth would there be a fuel point and control system on the unfoldable rocket pod thingies? If that's fuel for the engines, surely it massively over complicates design to have moving pipe work going...

I read somewhere that it had a top speed of about 90mph, but its 0-25mph time was over 6 seconds, and of course even stripped down for the movie it still weighed in at something like 28 tonnes. It probably wasn't possible (or at least not safe) to have it charging through a movie set, certainly...
