Free N Scale Signs and Printable Details

Ditto Thanks much for the very well done graghics and your very informative articles. I'm really looking forward to your art-deco theater. I'm hoping to build a much smaller art-deco style theater thanks to the inspiration provided by you. George

    question about steam and radius

I'm guessing you have the MP 2-6-0. I had a similar problem with mine. When I first got it, I put it on a 11" test oval. It would stall at the same spot each time around. A check of the wheel gauge revealed no problems so I more closely checked the track (Kato) and found that the track joint...

    A question about size

The MP 440 is pretty close to one that the MKT used on a brach line to pull an 85 foot passenger and mail car. I believe that I read someplace that the Bach 440 is larger than scale. In looking the photo of the UP and CP meet at Promontory it sure appears that those locomotives were very small...

MR cover that got me serious about N-scale

Brings back a lot of good memories. IMHO MR was a better mag during the Linn Wescott era. I still have my Atlas Pacific but it no longer runs. Five years later (1973) I bought a new house and switched to HO and didn't return to N until 1993. George

    Model Power

I have one of each of the MP locos. My fav is the 2-6-0 but all run very well and quiet. If you have grades you'll be disappointed with a lack of pulling power. I've read on another forum that MP has replacement drivers with traction tires available but this is not a task for the faint of heart...

    Purchasing Tomix EasyTram Track

"Am I missing something here? " Nope, their notice indicates that they will be closed for vacation thru the 25th. It will probably be October before they relist stock and I don't know of another source for TOMIX track. That's going to force me to put my trolley layout on hold.

    Ready Built Structures

I just looked at the Table Top site and noticed that the structures are the ones produced by Musket Miniatures . They have a lot of detail parts such as people, cowboys, animals, etc. A few years back I bought some of their structures and a ton of details. Some of the stuctures required a lot...

    Ready Built Structures

The prices you see on the Imex site are MSRP. Street prices are considerably less. Hobbylinc.com is one source that has pretty good discounts. Prices range from 6.59 to about 10.00.

    Ready Built Structures

Cannonball, After seeing your Iowa photos you might take a look at the line of Liberty Falls resin collectibles. They are small enough for N scale. I have seen they used on modular layouts with pretty good results when set back in the scenery with plenty of trees. They are no longer made but...
