I love the second grewp of photos! very nice stuff.. I like the multipul lashups.. especially of those 5 BN's!
that is almost realistic of how it works here.. either they lash up 4 3axle diesels, or 6 older 2axle diesels..
fish tank? cool.. do you got any pics of that setup? Id like to see how that looks
now for a book shelf system.. I think I can manage to do something like that.. :p
well.. I spent just about over $100 on the wood. and after laying it down.. I am thinking this is just to big hehe.. I mean ya, bigger = better but I want it to look like an actual Along the wall layout of railroad lines.. not just the typical big peice of 4x8 layout..
the demensions are...
ok well I got my cow and calf today in the mail.. and I am not happy.. the paint looks like Toys R Us Bachmann & Lifelikes.. its really generic compaired to my Spectrum and atlas CSX colors!
right out of the box.. the trucks off the powered cow fell off.. and they just simply snap back on...
I am a newbie to the hobby .. and have also noticed the high prices MT cars, they are like 15-25bux each!!!!!!!!!
I refuse to pay anymore then about 5-10bux each car.
its really funning seeing a 50ft flatcar N scale.. for 20bux.. or a tiny 70ton ore car.
really nice and scenic layout you have there.. I am in the middle of choosing my first layout and was also planning on doing that same layout from the atlas level2 book. could we see some pictures of the layout in whole?
recieved two other toys today in the mail.. they are Made in japan.. said to be kato but have the atlas name? (dunno what this is all about) but they are older units..
Atlas GP30's both powered with MT couplers
I dont know how old the atlas units are.. but I would take a new bachmann...
GO uses the same F59PHI and bi level bombadier cars as our so cali Metrolink I think, right?
I will keep my eye out for that persons layout plans, thanks =)
well I was playing with the spectrum a lil more on my test track and I am in love.. you can totally tell it has all low end gearing.. cause with that thing on full blast you really hear it screaming.. kind of sounds cool..
if anyone has any thoughts about buying a spectrum.. I WOULD!
that is some very nice work.. thanks for all of your guys help.. at first I thought it would going to be some trouble..but it seems to be an ez job that requires some time =)
ahh yes that helps alot.. just as long as it fits..and I can hotwire a decoder into the chassis\shell it will be all good...
I am guessing.. ALL engines are basically DCC compatable.. by simply shuving a Decoder into the engine (if it fits!) and soldering the wires..
and DCC READY means its...
pfroment vbmenu_register("postmenu_103072", true);
pfroment.. that one question was mainly directed to you, since you own these units as well... are they DCC decoder possible? I noticed under the shell is hardly any room, enless you remove the circuit board.
another note, I like...
well my Spectrum CSX dash 8-40cw came in the mail today.. perfect timing. because their were 2 other CSX spectrums on ebay ending within 20min of my package ariving. and I didnt want to buy the 2 other spectrums w\o seeing my first one yet..
anyways.. detail is SO SO.. I wont know untill I...
I have came up with another idea, in the garage.. with enough room for a parked car..
if anyone wants to try to sketch out a layout for me.. that would be great.. I have this atlas software installed on my computer.. should I even give that a try???
I want to have the turn...
