Absolutely inspiring! Just what I was talking about!(see my post "Why bother?") I've put off building a tank because of the tracks, I mean, I can hardly stand building a radial engine with only 18 cylinders(I HATE repetition!). But seeing what is possible courtesy of you and Drafmodel, I'm...

Jeez.. did you see the pics of the model in the link? Not often you see a built model that looks better than the artwork on the cover.

Come on Josve. At least it doesn't have a trillion track links to make (just wheels that steer, detailed suspension, engine access by tilting the cab....). Face it, I can hear you drooling from here, you masochist.

A Halinski orgy, or, I've gotten in over my head!

Just got a package from Santa! And Santa is trying to drive me insane! I haven't even finished the Zero or started the Mustang( with separate control surfaces!), and now I've got five of Mr. Halinski's finest sitting here staring at me. From what I understand the Dauntless has 1500 parts, so...

    Next from Halinski!

As a rabid Halinski fan, I check their website fairly regularly, to see what's coming next. To my surprise and delight, their next offering is a plane sorely missing from my collection, the P-47D. If it builds like the Me-109F4, it should be spectacular. Looking forward to it!

On to the wings Started the wings, which means numb fingers from cutting all that 1mm card. Here's the structure: Set in place on the fuselage: And the left wing skinned: The wheel well: A small problem: This part is mislabeled; it should be W11a, not W11d...

Latest Progress Not much, but some. Been working on the tail, here's the framing: Partially skinned: Skinned and set in place on the fuselage: With some of the control surfaces: Hopefully I can get started on the wings soon. Cheers, Alfadoc

    Halinski Bf-109 F4

Got a little done last night, the nose radiator scoop; As you can see above, unless care is taken, the skin will not completely cover the framing around the exaust recess; color them black before skinning to avoid that white edge look. Also got two fuselage segments in place...

    Halinski Bf-109 F4

Thanks GB. I look forward to seeing the photos of your Macchi. I would like to try building it soon. An Italian plane would be a welcome addition to my collection. A request: does anyone have information about the proper position of the flaps on this bird, particularly at rest on the...

    Halinski Bf-109 F4

Thought I'd share this one with anyone who is interested. Here's an example of the instruction illustrations. Some images of the cockpit. I wish I had started taking pictures before I skinned it for two reasons: There is detail you can't really make out now(the rudder...
