dnalor thank you, and this model has been sitting already printed waiting for me to build it for two years. Zathros I notice I accidently took a picture of my bad habbit. sorry. Thank for not giving me the lecture about the ills of smoking:cigar:.;):)

We all have our vices. Do not worry about it.
Although a GOOD cigar (with cognac) sounds good right about now! :cigar:
Just be careful that you do not drop the cherry from your cigarette onto your project! ;)

Even though, some scorch marks in selected places might add more realism to a BSG model (of course, it shouldn't be turned into a coal brick! :) )

Revel Fan and Starbuck have both of you seen this MK I viper design?
Yes, I have seen it. Every paper model of the Mk I is flawed and this one is no exception. I'll have to finish the instructions for the TF CI and the Aurora - and then fasten your seat belts, folks!!! :)

I am back posting on this thread because several things has occured that has led me to where I am now. first thing was that Ninjatoe's Mk-II Viper templates were a little hard to see atleast for my eyes, so I retraced them in MS paint. Here is a side by side comparison.
2014-09-28_2303.png2014-09-28_2303.jpg

Then I dicided to repaint the main stripes - black, blue, red, green, orange, gold, yellow, and pink, then I seen a posting for http://bj-o23.deviantart.com/art/Viper-Mk-II-Caprica-Police-161661458, and thats when I got a little obsessive. I started recoloring to match some of BJ-023's paint schemes for his MK II Viper drawings. It was about this time I started asking permission.

I have finished recoloring two Vipers to match two of BJ-023's paint schemes, but I am out of ink, and may not get more til after the first of next month. I tried going to a local library, but the printed template size didn't fit to page, but I think I fixed it. I won't know til I get ink to print it out. The other problem was the library printer printed in low resolution, and in black and white. I am doing a test build of the library print out to see how it looks. When I get ink, and find out that everything looks good , and have a good picture of the finished model to put on the PDF. I will submit it to Ninjatoe for approval. If everything works out it will be for download at his website, Papermodelers, and here. My next post will be pictures of the test build.

It looks good. This is my favorite paint scheme. I may have to do this myself as well!
It looks like the library that you go to uses laserjet printers. Is the ink on the parts flaking off or cracking as you work with the parts?
Keep up the GOOD work!!!
I will be following this thread.

WOW! Now this is how it's done! :) Another recolouring project! And with permission from the original authors. I LOVE IT! :)

Rhaven Blaack I think your right because I didn't see the white specks till after I started build it. Thanks Revell-Fan I thought I would add to the viper collection. Something new. I also have a viper recolor that just hit me out of the blue when I was doing these recolors. My concept of what the Turbokat would look like as a viper (swatkats).

Started on the top engine, and tail fin. Thats when I seen that the 911 was tilted, so I took time and redid the template. Should be ok now. notice the light in the tail fin. No color so I cut some construction paper to make up for it. I also included a picture of the part of the template to show how it should look.
