TOS E. Bridge

First I would like to say this is an already built model that I did a build of on the other modeler forum that I am also a member of, but that does not mean that you can't give me advice on it because I want to build it again later, when the Hako designed version is finished that Ron Caudillo is still working on. I was asked to share this here even though it was already built. This is Ron Caudillo's 1/50 scale bridge model, and I think Iwas asked to share it because unless you have built this model you don't know how big it really is, so I am going to post pictures of it finished first next to a mountain dew can for perspective, then if you are still interested in the build pics you can follow along with me. To date this is the hardest model I have built.

I was also asked to share some models I built before I worked up enough nerve to start posting and doing build threads, so here are some models from my collection (keep in mind that they are from when I started doing paper models). My very first was Airdave's Scooby Doo Van. The only other designer I know of the models that I am posting now is UHUO2 Proteus.

I like how the bridge turned out!
Everything that you have posted looks GREAT!!!
I will have to give the Proteus a go. It looks like it would be an interesting and fun build.
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!

This will be the last already built model that I will post build pics for, which means the next build threads I make will be a in progress build, which I will post at both forums at the same time. I sorry that this build does not start a the beginning. I already started making it when I worked up the nerve to do my first build thread. Here are the first 10 pics. One thing I found out when building this model is that when you start doing the consoles, mainviewer, and turbolift is that to do the mainviewer first, then consoles, and finally the turbolift because everything has to be a tight fit or you run out of room as you come around, so it is better to squeeze the turbolift than to cut a console or the mainviewer.

Rhaven Blaack you have to make a dome for the Proteus. I used a top/bottom of those 25 cent machines that kids get little toys out of.

Thank you for the heads-up. I will keep that in mind when I build it!

I really like the bridge set!
You did a GREAT JOB on it!!!
I think that it would be cool to enlarge it and add figurines to finish it off as a diorama!
Thank you for sharing this with us (as well as the advice for building it).

That is what I was refering to when I said that I wanted to rebuild later when Ron Caudillo finishes his design for the Hako bridge. It can have Hako figures to sit or stand on the bridge, and there is even Mirror universe figures.HPIM1357_Hako Engineering and Masume Washingtons Hako.JPG2014-09-20_0055_001.png 2014-09-20_0055.png 2014-09-20_0054.png

Blake, I remember your work and you are still producing excellent quality models. it is a pleasure to have you posting them here. The T.O.S. bridge is the nicest build of it I have seen! All the Proteus needs is a period correct Raquel Welch!! Below is a picture of her just before putting on her swim suit. :)
