Ive started playing the x-wing miniatures game recently and it's awesome! Rather than getting multiple ships and ending up not using loads of them, Ive opted to buy one of every ship/set for now and fill the gaps with paper proxies until I decide what I like to play.

Here's the fighters Ive done so far.

They are all available from this forum;

Ive made some bigger ships too and those pics will follow.

Thanks dude!

Here's some pics of the large ships I made.

I also scaled up a YT-2000 to use as a proxy millenium falcon. It looks a little blurry because of the amount it was scaled up but it should be ok for gaming. I got that from;
http://momirfarooq.com (although the bandwidth limit has been exceeded which seems to happen at the end of every month...).

Thanks again folks! :)

Next up, Im looking forward to the wave 4 stuff but its still ages away and with the info already out there its possible to play them if only you have some models...

I can't seem to find anything appropriate though (apart from the E-Wing) so Im designing my own. Here's where my first 2 prototypes are at so far;

Im done with the Tie defender and phantom now. The defender is ok I think but am quite pleased how the phantom turned out. Now to figure out how to upload the templates.

I know that these fighters are for the Star Wars game, but are you planning on making other fighters from other Sci-Fi programs (i.e the Vipers from BSG, or the the Thunder Fighter from Buck Rogers, just to name a couple)?

That would be cool. Ive got a long list of stuff Id like to do for star wars & 40k first though, so while I won't say "never" it'll likely be a long time before I get around to other sci-fi stuff.

Folks always like a group shot so here's everything I have so far! The left side are paper proxies and the right side are plastics. That gives me enough to try pretty much any build I want too.

I like the idea of being able to make your own figures like this for a game and being able to use them just as you would the regular game pieces that you would have to buy otherwise.
That is an IMPRESSIVE collection!!!
It looks like you are ready for most anything!!!

Yeh, that gives me at 4 of each little ship + 2 of each big ship so I can make anything I want. I also have enough to run several concurrent intro games at my local club and I can give away some of the paper ships to anyone that plays, to wet their appetite ;D
