Alright, so I'll probably start my series of "designer" models after this or one more model. For now, I've decided to do another Elder Scrolls-themed paper model. This time, however, it's not a prop replica, but rather a scale model.
Being an Imperial loyalist since my second playthrough, I've decided to model the Katariah, the flagship of the Tamrielic Empire.
Modeling the ship was pretty hard, mostly because, well, obviously the in-game model was designed for gameplay purposes as opposed to technical accuracy, so a lot of details are left out and/or just plain wrong. I've decided to keep the model faithful to the in-game model, for canonical reasons, and for the fact that I don't have sufficient marine engineering knowledge (I'm pursuing a deck license, after all ). I think the only deviations I made were in regards to the spanker.
I just finished drawing up the parts, and will start building either tomorrow or the day after. For now, have some pictures:
