X-15

Try this:

You'll get a RAR file with a lot of things (including pictures of an assembled model), go for the ZIP file and you'll have two PDF's, one for the parts, and another for the instructions.
I've just tested it, and it works fine.

Rogerio,
That sounds like Ken West's model, and if that's the one, from ecardmodels.com, it's being stolen / pirated....I actually purchased an x-15 from them, and it's the only one I'm aware of on that site....but like I said, I could be wrong. The kit they sell is in 1/32 scale, and is magnificent, and very inexpensive.
My apologies if I'm wrong, sir.

I am truly sorry for that. I've just googled it, and it showed up. I actually downloaded it, because it was in 4share.com.
There was no intention of mine in doing or contributing to piracy. I didn't see any copyright notes; it was just there for the taking, as all free models are.
I am terribly sorry. Thanks for deleting the link.

I suppose every one of us makes that unpleasant experience once in a while. It's a shame that a commercial model is uploaded on another place where it can be grabbed for free without authorization. I fully believe you that you didn't know that this model was pirated. Without any further research or indication on the model files or the tips of the members here you wouldn't be able to tell a free model from a pirated one.

Someone uploaded my Colonial One on 4shared. OK, it was a free model and still is, but all these paper model blogs now refer to that unauthorized link instead of directing the reader to the authorized DL locations (zealot and stevespaper.com). I complained but never got a response.

Dont worry Rogerio. I guess everybody will understand the situation.
Once i saw a free model up for sell.Pirates are everywhere man.Hard to tell the difference when it is hosted on a known site like 4share. I am glad i did not get the pirated link while googling for x15.

Hey Rogerio,
It's happened to me too, and I also felt bad, but hey, it was a mistake. I once bought a vinyl model figure kit at the local hobby store that I had admired at a show. It was in a beautiful full color box with the company's name on it and everything. It was a reasonable price, so home with me it went. I painted it up and took it to the next figure show and someone asked me who's kit it was, so I told him. He then informed me that this company was 're-casting' a famous Japanese manufacturer's models very brazenly and knew they were untouchable because of where they were operating out of, and the difficulty of going after them legally. I was beyond angry, considering that I have a resin model figure company of my own, and I fell for their scam, and for all I know, they might have ripped me off too!!! Live and learn, what can you do? So, she resides in the back of the cabinet now.....And I'm sorry I upset you, you're a good guy.

Hello,
Is there any x-15 model out there for free.Sorry for a request thread here.
I have been trying to find a free X-15 on the net as well but only found dead links. However, I think I have read that there might be some zealot members who had been able to grab Nobi's model when it was still available. You could use the search function of the forum to know more and ask the members via PM. Just a thought.

You know, at $6 the Fiddlersgreen model is darn inexpensive, and even Ken's superb model is only $9. While I'm all in favor of free, there really are some fantastic models that are just worth shelling out a few bucks for.

Having said that, it's kind of surprising there isn't a nice free kit of such a famous aircraft out there.

Steve speaks the truth. Those models are excellent, and very inexpensive, and give you a lot of bang for the buck...But, it would be nice if there was a free one, somewhere between the simplicity of the FG and Ken West's magnificent model. I'd love to see one with the white ablative coating, dummy scramjet and big fuel tanks, ( that would really save on ink!!!) from it's last record breaking flight, and the early, short airframe version....
