A view from the window

I'd like to show you a view from my window, earlier this week, that I thought was worth sharing. It's the dawn in RIO, THE WONDERFUL CITY   :thumb: :thumb:  , with the full moon in the sky.
I'm sorry for the photo quality, it was taken from my mobile phone. Anyway, this is a view I won't have for much longer, for I'm moving...
Taking this opportunity, I would like to invite all of you to share your window views, whatever and wherever they are.

Rogério

Don't know about you, I'm Christian. I would welcome that view outside my window. Not that one has to be christian to appreciate it. Very nice! :)

Beautiful view, Rogério. My parents lived there for 10 years and my maternal uncles still live there.

Here is a view taken a few days ago from my kitchen window in the western suburbs of Paris. Pic taken in the middle of the afternoon. It had rained all night.

REALLY? Did you live here, too? If you didn't, well, you missed... :p
Anyway, I really liked your picture. Thanks for sharing! :thumb:
I've been to Paris once, and OH BOY, was I amazed by the beauty of the city... I even went all the way up the Eiffel Tower! Oh, how I miss the Cité des Lumières...

All the best,

Thank you.

Sadly no, I've never been to Brazil. My parents returned to Portugal 3 years before I was born. :eek:ops:

Funny thing, I've been spending 5 days a week in Paris for the past 24 years and I've never been to the Eiffel tower! :p But yes, Paris is a pretty city.

When I was a student, I liked walking from gare Saint-Lazare to the Sorbonne on sunny days. Saint-Lazare -> Opéra -> Avenue de l'Opéra -> Palais Royal -> go though the Louvre -> cross the Seine river -> turn left and follow the river to Saint-Michel, look at Notre-Dame on the other bank and then turn right into Boulevard Saint-Michel to reach the Roman baths of Cluny and the Sorbonne (or take bus 21 or 27 at Saint Lazare, it's basically the same route).

Man, don't get me started over Paris! I loved te city, and I WILL come back to it... Oh, the Louvre, I went to it, already with that pyramid... So many good memories from France!
I even went to the Normandy, Sainte-Mère Église... And the south? The Riviera... Nice, Marseille...
Oh, c'mmon, man, this thread is about window views! sign1

Exactly! That view at the Jesus statue is marvellous. I wish I had such. However, I have a splendid view at the sky. Here is what I usually saw last week.

The variety of the different cloud formations is fascinating. Here are two pics depicting it. The second one looks as if it was taken at the coast.

And here something spectacular: One day it suddenly started to rain when the sun was shining at the same time! I immediately grabbed my camera and took this picture. The rain stopped as abruptly as it had begun. I magnified a part of the pic so that you can see the rain drops sparkling in the sunlight better.

Great contributions to the thread, man! Thanks, we all are lucky to be able to see it, even that it's just some pictures, but they sure are great!

That's the spirit!

Let's post some pics, people!

I respectfully disagree. I'd love to live in a place like that, in which my kids could run along the streets, and ride their bikes without a care in the world.
Besides, it's a magnificent view, conveying an image of peace and tranquility (hence the "sleepy little neighborhood", IMHO).
Lovely!

Yea, Rogerio, I have to work in Atlanta Ga, about 5 million people, but I would hate to live there. My neighborhood is one way in and out and has 46 houses in it... nice and quiet.

I'm not that high up the food chain at this Co. I'm just a service plumber, 1 of 13 at the Branch in Atlanta...

My boss is a B itch and currently is only interviewing licensed plumbers.

It's OK, I wrote that YOU can hire me. I could be a nice butler! sign1 The best thing is, I can live in the garage, won't need much pay, and I can learn whatever job you don't want to do, like normal household chores! sign1 sign1 sign1 I just hate doing the dishes, but that doesn't mean I won't do it...
Anyway, your window view picture is lovely, man, and you're lucky to live in such a nice place. :thumb:
